About Me

A Message from the Founder:

Hi! My name is Kamie Stover and I am the founder and owner of Dyson Educational Services. I want you to know that I struggled with the best way to represent myself and the company that I love. How can I show you who I am in a website? I want to ensure that you see the professionalism that you can expect, but also understand my approach to education.

I have been an educator for 10 years and a life-long learner for far longer than that. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2011 with my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies then in 2012 with my Masters of Education in Education Administration. I started my career working in a tiny school district as a special education teacher. One day my principal asked me if I would be interested in having a "bit of training" in dyslexia. I was ecstatic to learn about dyslexia and it did not disappoint. I fell in love and found my passion. I took that opportunity to complete the training to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and then later a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT). I was happy with my education and the path that my life was taking, but I wanted to understand more about the students I served. I wanted to know how best to help them when they needed more and how to help identify students that struggled so they could get the help they needed. I completed my Educational Diagnostician Certification in 2020.

I know this doesn't convey everything that I want it to, but I want you to understand that my approach to education has always been student needs centered, data driven, and with the understanding that sometimes we just need a good dose of laughter, compassion, and patience to really be the best learners that we can be.
